Thanks to Grange Insurance!

Community Lunch on Capitol Hill is thankful to Grange Insurance for their donation. Support like this helps to provide healthy and nutritious meals to the hungry and homeless here in Capitol Hill. Staff from the company also helped prepare and serve our meal on Tuesday, August 8th.

Thank you so much, Grange Insurance!

Thank you for helping during this cold snap!

Thank you to everyone who has contributed survival gear to Community Lunch during this brutal cold snap. In addition to hot meals, we have distributed many coats, sleeping bags, hats, gloves, socks, hand warmers and other gear to our guests. Richard, pictured, couldn't be more appreciative when he received this warm coat that was among the wonderful donations. Please keep your contributions coming!

Community Partner Showcase

We would like to thank the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for inviting Community Lunch on Capitol Hill to the Community Partner Showcase at Seattle Campus Atrium.

It was a lively forum for exchanging ideas and engaging in conversation with a diverse array of community partners who are actively involved in community-based projects. We had a great time!

New Partnership and New Staff!

Community Lunch is very excited to welcome Kristine Schiman as our new Program Assistant! We're also excited about our new partnership with Food Lifeline and Safeway. The new partnership now enables us to pick up donations of meat, produce, dairy and baked goods from our local Safeway. This past Sunday we picked up over 200lbs of meat!
