Watch our latest video about the people we work so hard to help! We provide survival services and four hot meals a week: lunch on Tuesday and Friday, and supper on Wednesday and Thursday. Our program is open to all in a warm and welcoming environment. Please feel free to share this video with your friends, family and everyone who cares deeply about our Community!
Thank you to everyone who attended our Spring Fundraiser at the Swedish Club. We had a great time and raised over $50,000! Thank you to everyone for your support for our programs that provide hot meals and survival services to the most vulnerable people in our Community.
This week Community Lunch welcomed our first visit from the fully equipped Mobile Dental Clinic outside Central Lutheran Church. It will provide essential services monthly and joins the Mobile Medical Clinic at the same time. Dental issues are a big problem for homeless people, so we are very pleased to offer this critical addition to the services we provide.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed survival gear to Community Lunch during this brutal cold snap. In addition to hot meals, we have distributed many coats, sleeping bags, hats, gloves, socks, hand warmers and other gear to our guests. Richard, pictured, couldn't be more appreciative when he received this warm coat that was among the wonderful donations. Please keep your contributions coming!

We would like to thank the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for inviting Community Lunch on Capitol Hill to the Community Partner Showcase at Seattle Campus Atrium.
It was a lively forum for exchanging ideas and engaging in conversation with a diverse array of community partners who are actively involved in community-based projects. We had a great time!
A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped prepare and serve our traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at All Pilgrims Church. The O'Conner family did a great job with desserts!
Community Lunch is very excited to welcome Kristine Schiman as our new Program Assistant! We're also excited about our new partnership with Food Lifeline and Safeway. The new partnership now enables us to pick up donations of meat, produce, dairy and baked goods from our local Safeway. This past Sunday we picked up over 200lbs of meat!
With the help of our wonderful volunteers, Community Lunch has four plots of cherry tomatoes (and some pest-detracting marigolds) that are looking healthy and heavy with fruit. We can't wait to start harvesting in the next few weeks and adding the tomatoes to our guests' salads.
Community Lunch was happy to once again participate in Clean Sweep 2016, tackling trash along 12th and 13th avenues. Thanks to volunteers and meal guests who joined our staff for this fun and important event!
